Pat Currie, Chair of the Memorial Park Society, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chad Rintoul as the Executive Director of the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney and Blue Heron Park in North Saanich, British Columbia. 

With a background in hotel and event management, and management consulting, Chad and his family settled in North Saanich in 2003 following a decade of living and working overseas.

Mr. Rintoul has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Windsor and a Diploma in Honours Standing in Political Economy from the University of Western Ontario. Past associations include membership in the Canadian Business Association of Almaty, and founding member status in the Vladivostok International Business Association. He recently completed a five year term as a Director of the Canada Pacific Russia Trade Centre in Vancouver, an organization aimed at increasing trade links between Pacific Canada and Pacific Russia.  He was also Chair of the District of North Saanich Resident Liaison Committee for a major infrastructure construction project until conclusion in November, 2008.  Currently, Chad is a member of Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation, and he is a Director and Chair of the Planning & Development Committee at the Victoria Airport Authority. 

The Memorial Park Society serves as the non-profit trustee which oversees the Mary Winspear Centre and Blue Heron Park in Sidney / North Saanich. The facilities are host to community and cultural activities, business meetings, conferences, live theatre and sporting events on the beautiful Saanich Peninsula.
